The Loerie’s View

Is a comfortable self catering holiday house situated in the peaceful town of Wilderness. It’s named after the beautiful Knysna Loerie, which is normally very elusive and difficult to spot in its natural habitat. However the Knysna Loerie can be regularly seen in the indigenous bush surrounding the house, which is a special sight and unique feature. The name also emphasises the breathtaking sea- and mountain views, which can be appreciated from every room and all outside decks. We are within walking distance of the swimming beach, lagoon, Wellness centre & Spa and the Wilderness village where you’ll find a vast variety of shops and quality restaurants to enjoy.

Wilderness lies in the foothills of the Outeniqua Mountains in a region of magnificent beauty. Wilderness is renowned and trademarked for its famous hospitality, long stretches of beach, peace, tranquillity and amazing scenery. The area attracts many enthusiasts and is a favourite venue for activities such as hiking, mountain-biking, bird watching, dolphin- and whale watching, hang gliding, paragliding, abseiling, angling, boating and waterskiing. It’s only a 10 min drive to George and 30 min drive to Knysna. Be sure to experience one of the most scenic and relaxing destinations in the heart of the Garden route.

You’ll be able to visit Victoria bay, Herolds bay, Glentana, Hartenbos, Diaz beach, Mossel bay, Dana bay, Kleinkrantz, Sedgefield, Buffels Bay, Brenton-on-sea and Plettenberg bay, in less than an hour’s drive.
